The painless, stitch-less procedure takes about 15 to 20 minutes under numbing eye drops in our ductless modular AHU operation theatre. Patients walk home comfortably within about 10 minutes of completing surgery.
Every baby born before 34–36 weeks of pregnancy, weighing under 2,000 grams at birth, or who received NICU oxygen support needs a retinal check within 20 to 30 days of birth. Both screening and in-house laser or anti-VEGF treatment are available during regular OPD hours.
